About the middle of December I got
an email from the one agency that had said they could accept us now. We
had previously decided not to use them. They were emailing to let us know
they had other interest in their final slot and we needed to decide what we
wanted to do. Ultimately, we decided to wait but it was hard to know that
door was now closed. So here we sit waiting. It does seem pretty
crazy to think we are already almost half way through that wait though.
We will see what happens in April.
I just heard that Russia is considering a ban on American adoptions. It really shows you how much can change quickly in the adoption world. Our boys will occasionally ask how is ____ going to work once we have sisters. It really makes me long for the day when we are all together.
